Tila Nguyen does not ring any bells? In this case, I should better say Tila Tequila, the stage name of this beautiful actress, model and television personality. Tila Nguyen became famous due to her appearances in magazines like Maxim, Playboy and Penthouse, but also for her MTV reality show, ‘A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila’. Although now she is one of the most popular artists on MySpace, it took Tila Tequila a long time before getting here. Things did not come easy for her, and her early life was pretty tough, which, as she stated, is the reason why she became an entertainer.

Tila Nguyen was born on October 24, 1981, in Singapore. With a half-French mother and a full Vietnamese father, Tila Nguyen turned out to be one of the most beautiful women in the world, and the unique combination of totally different cultures gave her an exotic look. After the Vietnam War, Tila Nguyen and her family moved to Houston. She was only 1 year old at that time. The problems started when Tila Nguyen was in middle school. Tila Nguyen became quite a tomboy, and her behavior caused her to be send for six months to a boarding school. In high school she did not behave any better either. Tila Nguyen started to use her sister’s identification card to be able to enter bars and nightclubs. Here, she started to consume alcohol and then to take drugs. After that, she joined a gang, which did not have a good influence over her, as she lost her virginity at the early age of 15.

Meanwhile, Tila Nguyen found a refuge in writing poems, which served as a therapy for her, as the best way to express her strong emotions. With the help of her friends, she turned her life around. At 16, she fled to Queens, in New York. The luck did not follow her, though, as she experienced a drive-by shooting. Moreover, in the following year she got pregnant, but she had a miscarriage. In 2000, Tila Nguyen finally graduated from high school. One year later, she moved to California, determined to pursue her modeling dream. Soon after that, Tila Nguyen was discovered by a Playboy scout, which was the triggering point of her career. So even though she had a rough time, Tila Nguyen managed to get over it and she became Tila Tequila, one of the most famous starts in the entertainment industry.
