Tila Nguyen was born in October 24, 1981, in Singapore, and comes from a family of five. She also has a brother Daniel, and sister Teri. When Tila Nguyen was one year old, her family emigrated to the United States of America and lived in Houston, close to a very strict Buddhist temple, as part of a gated community which her family eventually left behind when she was eight years old. Tila Nguyen was a troubled teenager and lost her virginity at 15 years old, at 16 years old she was in the middle of a drive-by shooting and after that she got pregnant and had a miscarriage. In 2001 she moved to California and became a model. After that, Tila Nguyen got the nickname of Tila Tequila, after the famous Mexican beverage.
